Available Child ID Programs

The Greensboro Optimist Club and Greensboro Police Department offer free Child ID kits for children ages 2 - 14 at scheduled community events:

Each kit includes:

Digital photo and inkless fingerprinting
1 ID card for home file
2 laminated wallet cards
DNA collection kit with instructions

*PLEASE NOTE: Children less than 2 years old do not have fully developed fingerprints and attempting to capture them results in smearing. Photographs of infants are quickly outdated because of their rapid growth, so we do not provide kits for this age group.
