Fire Prevention Checklist
SAFE Guilford supports our local fire departments by providing smoke
alarms for distribution to Guilford County residents who need them. You may
receive a smoke alarm if you own your home, and
are:
low-income,
or
handicapped/disabled,
or
age 65 or
older
For more information, please contact your local fire
department.
PLEASE NOTE: Landlords are responsible, by law, to
provide smoke alarms for rental properties. If your landlord is incompliant
despite a request, please contact your local fire department
or city/county building inspectors.
